Rev. Christopher S. Carter Sr. is the third son of Pastor Charles and Linda Carter. With his lively personality he made the family complete. In dual capacity, his parents laid the foundation of Christian principles and family.
Minister Carter is a product of the Klein Independent School District. Throughout school, teachers regarded him as being jovial, upstanding, a leader and an overall good guy. As a student at Klein Forest High School, from 1990-1994, he aided in founding their first gospel choir and led his football team as an All District Player. So it was no surprise when he desired to attend Howard Payne University in Brownwood,Texas to study education and play football.
While attending Howard Payne, he formed an alliance with several young men and one by one they all accepted the call to help equip the saints and build God's Kingdom. He united with Greater Faith Community Church under the watch care of Pastor A. C. Blake, and as he partook of his assignment to minister, God elevated him as Youth Pastor.
Young and full of energy, he returned home to Houston, Texas in 1998. He immediately began working at his home church, Strait Life Missionary Baptist Church, and was appointed Minister of the Youth and Music Departments.
Still seeking God's will, in 2002 he began No Excuses Cowboy Church and galloped into the hearts of cowboys and cowgirls preaching the Gospel at the rodeo. Preaching, Singing, Dancing, and Praising the Lord 110%, God's plan further elevated him in 2007 to heed His voice and let the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church of Barrett Station, Texas share his heart. Pastor Carter has also served in various roles for many Associations, Conventions, and Conferences throughout the State of Texas.
For almost 3 decades Pastor Carter has held various positions working with what society has called "At Risk Students", in an effort to mentor, and motivate them for success.
In his leisure time Pastor Carter enjoys horseback riding and participating in the rodeo. This passion for rodeo and people has also led him to become a Rodeo Announcer, which requires him to be the "voice' of many rodeos and associations.
Pastor Carter united in love in 1997 with Brandi Patterson of Brownwood,Texas, and born to this union were Christopher II, Savannah and Brailyn.
Pastor Carters' desire is to Serve God and People!
